The Kazakhstan fashion has begun existing in 1947 from sewing laboratory and grown to “Symbat” Fashion Academy for today. Since 1947 each second inhabitant of the country has got our prêt-â-porter production. Twice a year the Theatre of fashion presents new magnificent collections Haute Couture to spectators and prêt-â-porter on international fashion weeks. There have been presented more than 150000 exclusive models over 60 years.
“Symbat” namely first in the history of Kazakhstan has presented the Kazakhstan fashion abroad in 1972, and subsequently in 2003 on professional fashion - podium on a Fashion Week in Moscow (Moscow fashion week). Except for Russia we are constantly participate in a Fashion Week in Dubai (DIFW), in 2007 for the first time took part in a Fashion Week in Washington (DC Fashion week) and the Siberian fashion week (SFW).
There pass about 20 private shows in Kazakhstan and about 10 displays abroad annually. Since 1972, “Symbat” participates in more than 40 international shows at festivals, competitions of fashion in more than 30 countries of the world.
Тo the 60 anniversary of creative activity “Symbat” Fashion Academy organized the International competition of Designers “CREATIVE WORLD”.135 designers from Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan took part in the competition.
The authoritative jury is headed by V.M. Zaitsev - the doctor of art, the professor, a member-correspondent of the Russian academy of arts, the national artist of the Russian Federation, the winner of the State premium of the Russian Federation. Winners of the competition, stars of a Kazakhstan stage, who came to congratulate “Symbat” with such a significant date have acted in the gala-concert, and also there have been presented new collections of “Symbat”: image collection of Balnur Assanova and the collection of national clothes of Ptitsyna Alla Petrovna.
